Schedule

NTC workshops are held throughout the year in 2 sets, with a break during the school holidays. Each set includes 16 workshops. The workshops for the youngest group (4-6 years) are each 60 minutes long.
The workshops were designed by the author of the NTC programme, Dr Ranko Rajović, together with his professional team. Dr. Ranko Rajović is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Education in Koper (Educational Neuroscience) and a member of the UNICEF programme for early education. In 2015, his NTC programme received the Mensa International MERF (Mensa education and research foundation) award for intellectual contribution to society.

Workshop objectives:

  • Increasing the intellectual abilities of all students participating in the programme.
  • Prevention of attention and concentration disorders during the school period.
  • Development of movement coordination and motor skills.
  • Development of fast thinking, association and reasoning (functional knowledge).
  • Timely observation of gifted students and supporting the development of their abilities.

What we do at NTC workshops

Early development and early stimulation are key factors in child development. The brain develops at a powerful rate until the age of 7, and then until the age of 12, so during this period, using appropriate exercises and activities can help children in developing their biological potential. Each NTC workshop is composed so that it contains elements that develop complex motor activities, mental categorisation, mental seriation and association, the development of divergent and convergent thinking, as well as functional knowledge. During these workshops, the children have meaningful tasks at hand; they have to both think and play.
